Analysis the Effects of Dairy Cooperatives on Employment and Production in Fars Province: Application of Linear-fuzzy Regression Model

Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to study the effects of Dairy Cooperatives on employment and milk production in Fars Province. Required data was gathered through completing 95 questionnaires by members and 12 questionnaires by managers of the cooperative which were selected by using stratified random sampling method. To achieve the objectives of the study, linear fuzzy regression method was applied. The results showed that among variables, loans had medium to high positive effect and diversity of products had high positive effect on employment cooperatives from member's point of view. Among other studied variables, selling inputs by cooperative union had a medium and extension services had low effect on production. Finally, some suggestions were made to improve situations.
