Evaluation of Management Strategies of Iranian Fisheries Organization Using Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Analysis and Topsis Technique

Abstract

In this study in order to compiling the management strategies of the Iranian Fisheries Organization, a series of interviews were conducted with a team of experts. Then, for determining the criteria and sub-criteria of the strategy evaluation, nine sub-criteria were selected in the form of three economic, environmental and management criteria. To evaluate these strategies, a questionnaire was developed to determine the weight of the criteria and sub-criteria and to determine the rating of each of the strategies. The results showed that the most effective criterion in the evaluation of strategies is the management criteria with a relative weight of 0.410. Economic and environmental criteria with weights of 0.300 and 0.290 are in the next category. The results also showed that the international marketing strategy for reaching the regional and global markets and Investments for using untapped and undeveloped aquatic resources respectively with the score of 0.761 and 0.324 have the highest and lowest rank among the strategies.
